Killing Time...
Hi there! It's almost 9:30pm on Saturday and my husband is craving Hummus!!! I think I've tasted hummus once, maybe twice in my life. It's definitely not something that I crave...or even think about for that matter. A craving for me would be sugar, sweets, candy, etc - not hummus! Good thing Jenette lives with us. Those 2 like the same kind of odd foods. Anyway, John is in the kitchen making hummus. I guess that's what I get for marrying a guy who grew up in the family restaurant...late-night mystery recipes! So, I'm killing time because we are going to watch a movie after he's done. I'll tell you the latest news at the Potts homefront. Malacai did awesome in his flag football game today!!! He made his 1st TOUCHDOWN!!! Plus, he made a great catch and 2, count them 2 - 2 point conversions. We were so proud of him. I did take some pictures today and will try to get them developed soon. No digital camera yet.:( We also bought a new front door today. I know, sounds really boring, but I was really excited. Our front door (since we bought the house - 5 years) is warped. Light and cold air come in the sides. Plus, when we got a new hot water heater last fall it got dropped on the threshold and light and cold air came in their too! I also thought spiders would come in too, but John just laughed at me. I hate 'em!!! I don't fear them like Jess, but they freak me out! So, anyway, I'm looking forward to a new door. Yeah! Well, I'm just blabbing about my day as the blender is whirring in the background. We also got a new toilet seat as well...but you don't need to know about that! Ta, ta...I'm off to taste the hummus!

You fear me?
Jess :)
I didn't know that Jenette lived with you!!! How long has she been there? Now she has NO REASON not to start her very own blog! :)
Holly, I fear spiders also. as a matter of fact there was one on my computer screen this morning and I had to kill it myself becuase Kurt is gone at work. So I grabbed it with a tissue and ran to the toilet to flush it!! EWWWWW! Congrats on the new front door. I understand how exciting those things can be. How did you like the hummus?
Hummus is a great snack food...how did you like it? I work for a remodeling company, so getting a new door is exciting news and so is a new toilet seat!
Jess - have you looked at yourself lately?? A hot, buff mom, of course I fear you!!! Not as much as spiders though. :)
Sabrina - Yes, Jenette lives with us. It will be a year in January. I love having her here. I don't think she'll ever start a blog. Maybe when she gets married! She just laughs at me now.
Mary - Good for you for getting that spider! Don't they just unnerve you though - oohh! Just the thought!
Rachel & Mary - the hummus was good, but I ended up with the stomach flu the next morning. I'm hoping it wasn't hummus-related!
Our new door is laying on my kitchen table because we decided to paint it a deep red (at Hudson's prompting). I think I'll love it, but I'm a little nervous about the color!
1. While I consider myself very diverse in what I enjoy eating, hummus has never been among my favorites. Good for John, though.
2. I wanted a deep red door. Unfortunately, I didn't check the color when we brought it home from Home Depot. Unfortunately, I was gone all day while Erik was laboriously sanding our steel door (5 times!). Unfortunately, he just trusted my judgment when he opened up the paint can, and painted 3 coats on that day. Unfortunately, he hated the whole job, and when I came home to discover my hot-pink/raspberry colored door, he swore he'd never touch that door again.
Unfortunately, I still have a hot pink door.
:-(
So sad.
Oh Karen!! That was my fear! When they opened the can at Home Depot it looked Raspberry. It actually has dried nice, but I'm still nervous. It is a very tedious job!!! My sympathies go out to both you and your hubby - for your tolerance of hot pink and his persistance to get it just right and still hate it!
Ha! Are you afraid I'm gonna beat you up or something? Just feed me hummus and I promise to be nice! :) Yes, it would be so cool if Jenette started a blog! I find her life very interesting and would love to keep closer tabs on her! Tell her majority rules, she has to do it. Or I'll bring my buffness over there! :) hehehe Jess
I love Hummus! John will have to stir me up some when I come to see you!!
